Is haircutting a fad or a need?

To keep our four-legged friends healthy, it is important to perform regular hygiene procedures: shearing, washing and combing dogs. Owners of sleek-haired dogs face the problem of pet molting on a daily basis. The procedure of combing out the hair that sheds and bathing helps to get rid of hair loss and dog odor for 3-4 weeks.

Hard-haired dogs need a stripping (trimming) procedure, the procedure is carried out to remove the old layer of hair and undercoat, the hair on the legs and lower abdomen of these dogs regularly needs to be trimmed.

Hair of spitzers and huskies needs regular combing. Un combed undercoat accumulates, gets tangled and bunched up in tangles, the removal of which is painful.

Yorkshire terriers, Maltese, Shih Tzu, poodles, bichons and other long-haired breeds of dogs have to be sheared, the hair constantly grows and tangles in the absence of brushing. Such a coat is not subject to constant shedding, suitable for allergy sufferers, as it does not spread around the house.

In the past, decorative dog breeds were considered a luxury, only the bourgeoisie had small dogs – don’t forget that. The owners of dogs with constantly growing fur have to deal with the fact that this hair needs regular care, combing this hair needs to be done daily, and it needs to be trimmed once every 1-2 months.

As soon as you have a puppy in your house, you should habituate him to the procedure of hair brushing from the first day, and you should start hygienic hair dressing from the age of two months. You should not delay with accustoming the dog to the grooming until a later age, because with the lapse of time it becomes harder to persuade the dog to undergo this procedure. Groomers have to deal with unruly and aggressive clients, and this happens due to the fault of the owners who didn’t get their pet trained and accustomed to hygiene in time.
